support for spaces chats

Hi, when I log in I see direct messages but do not see the chat spaces chat rooms. Is there a way to interact with these? I looked all over but the naming convention is a bit vague and ubiquitous, and finding related documentation that might be relevant to this subject is difficult. Thank you!

@BrianMusson I get a message telling me that all messages starting November 1st will be 're-directed' to Chat.

@tijko I don't follow, do you mean that they should already arrive as conversations? I do not see them.

@BrianMusson I was giving input as to what is the response on my end and I get prompted with a message saying they should have arrived. I don't see the conversations either and if the same goes for you then it would seem Google Chat team/help is the next logical step in troubleshooting.

this states that google hangouts will migrate to google chat, but it does not say that all google spaces will be converted to group chats.

Can you see them on https://hangouts.google.com? If not, they will not be available in hangups.

@tdryer that link takes me to google workspaces, specifically I see on the left Google Chat (direct messages) and Spaces (used for some type of threaded conversation). from this link: https://workspace.google.com/products/chat/ "Spaces are the central place for teams to engage in topic-based discussions, share knowledge and ideas, move projects forward and build communities and team culture." - this does not show up in the hangups.
