Update Error

As of a few days ago, I had no issues with CS Tools. Then yesterday I began getting a permissions error on BI Server, despite no changes to my permissions. After trying to upgrade CS Tools, the upgrade failed, and now my PC is not even showing CS Tools as installed. Moreover, I cannot re-install the software, I am getting a boostrapper error, which I have attached the logs for to this thread (along with the original error I was getting yesterday.) Have you seen something like this before? What would you recommend to troubleshoot this?

Thanks for writing. It looks like a 403 Forbidden Error and we are looking into it. For the mean time, can you please try manually installing CS Tools in your system ? Please see the steps below :

• Download the zip file of the required CS Tools version. You can find the CS Tools Releases on this link. Please try downloading a zip from a 1.5.x version as of now.

• Create a virtual environment. In your shell, navigate to the directory where you would like to create the virtual environment and fire the Command : python3 -m venv <virtual_environment_name>.

• Activate / Navigate to the virtual environment. For Mac / Linux, fire the command : source <virtual_environment>/bin/activate. || For Windows with CMD, powershell, UNIX, please see this link.

• For installation, run the command : pip install <CS_Tools_Zip_File>

Now you should be able to use the CS Tools from your venv.
