Dropdown Menu doesn't appear on click

I am on Linux
The problem i have is that in the gui the dropdown menus don't open.
Is there a logfile and/or compile option i can look at to investigate the problem?
i tend to believe that it is a juce issue.

NixOs Linux
with Sway/Wayland Window Manager
tried the plugin as lv2 and vst3 on carla-rack and carla-single and ardour8

on which configuration is the plugin tested?

Hi, I've tested the plugin on Linux Mint 21 using cinnamon, mostly reaper but also Ardour one time or another, I can test again.

Is cinnamon running wayland or x11?

I tested it with X the GUI works as expected.

is the plugin build for wayland or only X?
the question is, if it is build for wayland one could try to prevent that build and the wayland compositor would fall back to X to display the window.

To be honest I am not sure, it is built using ubuntu-22.04 from github CI.
I'll google wayland issues with JUCE there may be some reports and who knows fixes already.
