useLineBreaks only works when setValue is used

Using v0.3.0 I can only get the editor to make

tags if I explicitly set the editor's value using setValue("

Placeholder

"). Initializing the editor without using setValue results in the default
tags being used when new lines are created.

Has anyone else encountered a similar issue?

This issue seems to be similar to some of the problems described in #344

The issue seems to be fixed in the 0.4.0 pre release.
