Suggestion : Add a Code of Conduct to the repository

Great project! I noticed that the repository currently does not have a CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md file.

Adding a Code of Conduct would help:

• Make the project more welcoming to new contributors
• Establish clear community guidelines
• Improve the repository’s overall community health on GitHub

I’m participating in SWoC 2026 and would be happy to open a PR adding the widely used Contributor Covenant, if this aligns with your vision for the project.

Below is a draft (with reporting directed to GitHub issues):

# Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct

## Our Pledge

We as members, contributors, and maintainers pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, visible or invisible disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

We pledge to act and interact in ways that contribute to an open, welcoming, diverse, inclusive, and healthy community.

## Our Standards

Examples of behavior that contributes to a positive environment include:

- Demonstrating empathy and kindness toward others  
- Being respectful of differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences  
- Giving and gracefully accepting constructive feedback  
- Accepting responsibility and apologizing for mistakes, and learning from the experience  
- Focusing on what is best for the overall community  

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

- The use of sexualized language or imagery, and sexual attention or advances of any kind  
- Trolling, insulting or derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks  
- Public or private harassment  
- Publishing others’ private information without explicit permission  
- Other conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting  

## Enforcement Responsibilities

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing these standards and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to unacceptable behavior.

## Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces and also applies when an individual is representing the project in public spaces.

## Enforcement

Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by opening an issue in this repository or by contacting the project maintainers.

## Attribution

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the [Contributor Covenant](https://www.contributor-covenant.org), version 2.1.

Thanks for taking a look at this issue. Currently, this is not required for this repository, as CONTRIBUTING.md already covers the code of conduct and contribution guidelines.
