I just installed a fresh copy of Frigate via the TTeck script (on Oct. 23, 2024). The first config change I tried to make was to enable the OpenVino detector and declare the required model:
However I was not able to save the config file and was presented this error:
The Intel HD Graphics 610 GPU is detected and working in the LXC, confirmed via vainfo. I have the exact same install on another machine, that was created with this script a few weeks ago and it works without issue.
I went digging around in the file system and discovered that on my working install, I have the following directory present:
/openvino-model
, while on the non-working install, that entire directory is missing, in addition the directory/opt/frigate/models/
is empty. So it appears that perhaps some link or dependency may have changed, causing the script to skip this. I repeated the install several times to confirm and watched the verbose output, but didn't see any errors. Any ideas? Is there an easy way to get the missing files after the fact? Thanks!
I posted this same issue on the Frigate page and the developer seems to think it's a problem with the install script as well:
