Steam virtual keyboard - open via commandline / desktop-launcher / like maliit

Describe the bug

Since my device hasn't a game controls build in i don't have a way to open the steam virtual keyboard at all. it works like expected if i connect for example a xbox controler.
Is there a way or can there be something added to open the keyboard via panel, launcher or like the maliit-keyboard in desktop mode?

Open the steam virtual keyboard from touch screen interaction
