Hey @dcode, I'm assuming you've turned off all the Auto-Updates in the Control Plane? https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/7605005245975-UniFi-Updates Let me know how it goes. Thanks, Braeden |

Hmm, I'll have to take a closer look when I've got a bit more time. However, that said, is this related to #674? |

Hi, I've got a UDM Pro (since 2019) and I've generally had good success with upgrades and such. Last night, my device received the v4.4.6 update, rebooted, and went into the infamous "OS needs to be restarted", which led to the "never gonna boot me up, always gonna let you down" state.
I'm currently in recovery mode and going through the steps to attempt factory reset and will fall back to flashing a clean firmware, if needed.
Is there something that could be done prior to firmware updates to prevent this sort of thing from happening? TBH, I don't think I've had this since before UniFi OS 3.x came out. I didn't have that much custom (I think). I had one nspawn container running multicast-relay (documented in this gist) and a script that appended to the dnsmasq config for iPXE booting. Yet, here I am.
I didn't see any docs or mention elsewhere, but maybe I missed something. Thanks!
PS: In the time it took to write this, the factory reset has complete and reboot has.... run.... but still stuck. Firmware flash it is!EDIT: I didn't wait quite long enough. It just popped up telling me to connect with the app for setup! 🎉
