Unable to use external mouse with iPad

I installed Windows 7 on UTM for macOS version 4.6.4 and everything went smooth. Then I installed UTM Remote on my iPad 10th gen running iOS 18.1.1 and I connected to the VM I created on macOS. I am able to use the mouse with the touchscreen but it is not very smooth to use. I decided to connect an external mouse on iPad (which is working correctly on iOS) which is a Microsoft mouse with bluetooth receiver using an USB-C adapter, but as soon I open UTM Remote, even before starting the remote VM, I can see and move the pointer but I am not able to click anything. After starting the VM, the pointer is not moving anymore with the external mouse and I can only move it with the touchscreen as before. I also tried an external keyboard ad it is working correctly in the VM. Is there a way to use the external mouse on the remote VM?
