Images in the markdown are not shown for me. Is this a known limitation, or do I need to configure something?

Same here. I think it's due to a relative path for your image, so the markdown try to get an image on the mdown.vim server intead of your local path.

Hmm sounds plausible. Using an absolute path does not fix the problem for me though.
