Status Automation Based on VRChat Launch/Close

It would be very helpful to have a feature in VRCX that automatically changes the user's VRChat status when the game is launched or closed.

Proposed Functionality:

• When VRChat is launched: Automatically set the user status to a configurable option (e.g., "Join Me," "Active," etc.)
• When VRChat is closed: Automatically revert to another configurable status (e.g., "Do Not Disturb," "Offline," or custom option)

Configuration Options:

• Enable/disable the feature via settings
• Choose which status to set for:
  -- VRChat running
  -- VRChat not running
• Optionally add a delay or cooldown (e.g., wait X seconds after launch/close before changing status)

Why This Feature is Useful:

• Improves user experience by reducing the need to manually change statuses
• Helps friends know when someone is available in VRChat or available elsewhere like Discord with a stats of "On Discord" when not in the game.

Technical Feasibility:

• The status change functions are already part of VRCX's functionality

I'm not sure I understand any use case for this, how is changing your status to be non-joinable whilst offline useful?

I think there might be a bit of confusion around the practical use of this.

Current Issue:
When VRCX is running in the background (which it often is for stats/logging), VRChat still shows you as "Active", even if the actual game is closed. That can mislead friends into thinking you're in VRChat, when you're not.

So if your last status was something like:

• “Join Me” → It stays there, even after you've left the game.
• “Ask Me” or “Active” → Same issue — it lingers, even if you’ve stepped away.

How This Feature Helps:
Automatically updating your status when VRChat opens or closes gives a more accurate and helpful view of your availability:

• When VRChat launches: Automatically set your status to something like “Ask Me” or “Join Me” to reflect you're now actually in the game.
• When VRChat closes: Change to “On Discord” or “Away” so it’s clear you’re no longer in VRChat, even if VRCX is still running.

This avoids confusion and keeps your status relevant and up-to-date without needing to remember to change it manually every time.

This is more of an issue with VRChats poor design decisions making it difficult to distinguish between active and online statuses, the only real fix for this is for VRC to change how it looks or to inform your friends on how to interpret the icons correctly, this would be a bandied fix at best and confuse the end-user at worst, if they come to expect statuses to work in this way, they'll be confused when someone doesn't have this feature enabled.
