How to use smufl in Word or OpenOffice?

Is it possible to use Bravura Font in a regular OpenOffice document?
Trying to do so only shows me regular text, but no notation symbols. Do I have to setup specific formatting? Or access font symbols with a specific key combination (in order to get to symbols that are defined in a later range of the UTF chart than 1-127)?

(Just stupid guesses...)

My setup:
LilbreOffice 7, TextEdit, OpenOffice
MacOS Catalina 10.15.6

You should probably use Bravura Text rather than Bravura, since Bravura Text has metrics suitable for use inline with regular text fonts. You will hopefully find this helpful:

(Using Bravura Text, the treble clef is cut off on the top, but I guess that is a known fact?)

"facetype.js" throws an error in the console: "Unsupported OpenType version"
How can I find out what OT version Bravura is?

I'm afraid I don't know. It's whatever version of the OpenType specification is supported by FontLab 7, but I'm unable to find an easy answer to that.
