I was wondering where the most recent stable release is?
The Github release page only goes up until version 1.5.
The tags include version 1.6.
The main branche has many recent updates in comparison to version 1.6.
Is the latest stable version the 1.6 tagged version, or can the main branch be seen as the most recent ready to be used version?

The numbering is a bit messed up. The main branch is the best reference since you will have to use the new template (the stable version of the old template is 7fa7601). The main branch is quite stable for general use, thus for creating the content of thesis document. But we are still making changes based on feedback from the ADS and pull requests by users. Those are mainly related to changes to the cover. Once that is stable, we can update the version number everywhere. Probably to 2.0 since it's a new template by the doctoral school.
