Is there design criteria that you feel is missing from the document?

There is no mention of returns / credits. This is important when considering payment tokenization, payment links and alternative forms of payment. One must also consider uneven exchanges - where a buyer returns a product to exchange for one more expensive and the merchant must collect the difference.
