What is the issue with the HTML Standard?

The next meeting for the joint OpenUI-WHATWG/HTML-CSSWG task force on styleable form controls is scheduled for Thursday April 17th, 2025 at 8am PST. (Please carefully note daylight savings differences across the world.)

From the last meeting, there was a desire to bring back the interesttarget touchscreen behavior issue for another discussion. The last meeting's minutes are here, for reference, but it was mentioned that a few folks (@hober, @annevk, and @martinthomson) made comments on the issue, but weren't able to make Meeting #18 for the discussion. Those folks should have a chance to directly represent those opinions, so we can discuss them live and understand them better. Hopefully those folks can make this meeting time? I know that's tough geographically, so if there's a better time of day, we can also try to schedule a special breakout session on this topic. Please let me know!
