Attached output log from plugin. I can see the connect/disconnect in the Mosquito MQTT logs, but I've not found a reason why this is occurring. Curious if anyone's experienced this or has any thoughts I could look into to fix this. TIA!

Can you put those logs into a text file or a gist and re-attach them? I'm not really wanting to download/open a random docx file.

Here's the gist of the log. Sorry about that, doing this from my phone. 😁

Hmm, that's interesting. A few questions:

  • Where are you located?
  • Can you see the meter on your wifi network?

Minnesota, and yep - it's assigned a static IP, and it's showing up on my router; I just checked to keep myself honest. :)

Ok, so we already know Xcel is running different firmware in MN. I wonder if they have upgraded their ciphers as well (which is probably what's causing that).

Are you able to successfully connect to the meter using zaknye/xcel_itron2mqtt? I am a few versions behind on the Home Assistant base containers and it's possible I need to figure out an OpenSSL upgrade.

Let me give that a try and I'll report back.

As an FYI, I'm in MN and mine is still working fine. Not to say the issue isn't real, but it doesn't seem to be systemwide issue.

Ok, thanks for the confirmation. I had somewhat assumed that given this is the first report and the current addon version has been out of a few months.

@mkadrlik are you meters newer?
