I just spent 10 minutes trying to get the example running, just to find out that I shouldn't use the Austrian keyboard layout. I don't know a lot about accessibly, so I can't tell how to easily fix it (It should work on every keyboard layout?), but this aspect definitely needs to be fixed for everyone who's running slate-mentions in production.
