Ambiguous UI symbols

What are you trying to do that you can't?

A few symbols used in Wordplay may be unclear to new users. For example, the 'under construction' emoji next to languages in the locale menu can be confusing, and the black dots beside gallery categories (used to indicate the number of works) may not be immediately understandable in terms of what it represents.

What is your idea?

To maintain design consistency across Wordplay, I think adding a brief hover tooltip could help users quickly understand what ambiguous symbols mean and make the experience more intuitive. This could use the same small orange box seen elsewhere in Wordplay that appears above the symbol with a very short explanation for clarity.

Agreed, some tooltips would be helpful here. There's just a bit of design work to do to figure how some text for these.
