As per https://github.com/xbmc/imagedecoder.heif/blob/Piers/depends/common/libheif/libheif.txt this add-on currently uses libheif v1.17.6 released Dec 2023.
Please update libheif to v1.19.5: https://github.com/strukturag/libheif/releases/tag/v1.19.5, it would make possible to i.e. display images made with iOS 18 directly on kodi.
