herdr-compass

Unified directional navigation for Herdr across panes, tabs, and workspaces.

  • left / right: focus a pane, then wrap to the previous / next tab.
  • up / down: focus a pane, then wrap to the previous / next workspace, including worktrees.

Requires Herdr 0.7+ and Python 3.10+ as python3. No Python packages needed.

Install

From the public repo:

herdr plugin install ycros/herdr-compass
herdr plugin action invoke herdr-compass.right

Keys

Add to ~/.config/herdr/config.toml:

description = "compass right"

If those chords are already assigned to Herdr's built-in pane focus keys, remove or clear the built-ins. Then reload:

herdr server reload-config
