How to open the Global conversation, it seems that I can only open the plugin when selecting an item

MD files can not be uploaded or read by the LLM agent although the file is already processed by minerU. LLM returns the warning message [Since no citable original sources for the abstract, introduction, methods, or experiments were found in the current conversation, I cannot treat the specific methods, experimental results, or the authors' conclusions as established facts.]

are you using codex app-server mode? that mode has some errors. you can use legacy codex auth mode for now. I will fix it in the later release.
