SeizureXpert

COMP 491 senior design project, Koç University (Fall 2024). Team: Zeynep Aydın, Hüseyin Sarp Vulaş, Arda Cem Çakmak.

SeizureXpert is an iOS app for clinicians working with epilepsy patients. Doctors manage their patients, upload EEG recordings (BrainVision format), and view seizure-onset-zone (SOZ) visualizations: channel plots and scalp heatmaps generated from the recordings, with an integrated LLM assistant for discussing results.

Features

  • Doctor accounts with sign-up/login and profile management (Firebase Auth)
  • Patient management: add, assign, and browse patients with per-patient EEG history
  • EEG upload to the processing backend (BrainVision .eeg/.vhdr/.vmrk)
  • SOZ visualization: raw traces, per-channel plots, and scalp heatmaps
  • GPT-powered assistant on the visualization screen (bring your own OpenAI API key in RequestBuilder.swift)
  • Push notifications when processing completes

System components

  • This repository: the SwiftUI/UIKit iOS client
  • comp491_server: Python backend that stores per-patient uploads and runs the EEG processing pipeline
  • RawEEGVisualization: EEG processing scripts producing the visualizations

Building

Open SeizureXpert.xcodeproj in Xcode. You will need to supply your own SeizureXpert/GoogleService-Info.plist (Firebase project config: not tracked) and set the backend address in SeizureXpert/Views/Service/ServerConfig.swift.
