Solves the bug that made snake to hover over the food instead of eating it. The problem was in one version of the scaled games, the height was 300, which is correctly divisible by 20 (the block size), but the head was place exactly at the middle point 150, which is no longer divisible by 20. The snake's body is calculated from the head, so the snake is constantly placed at coordinates that wouldn't collide with the food.
Some other improvements:
model.train_step
is now an optimized@tf.function
.tf.GradientTape()
automatically watches trainable variables, so there is no need to calltape.watch(self.model.trainable_variables)
