…is module enables the hydraulic head to be prescribed from an external subglacial hydrology model. md.friction.coupling=3 uses a fixed effective pressure; however, for century-scale projections, the effective pressure should vary over time, as `md.geometry.thickness` changes and affects the effective pressure. Therefore, this module supports `md.friction.coupling=4`, which computes the effective pressure based on the changing ice thickness and fixed subglacial hydraulic head.
