Hi @Freed-Wu,
times when I used vim as my main editor are long gone, so I'm struggling to understand why this whole thing is necessary.

I also don't feel comfortable adding stuff unrelated to vscode as I won't be able to support it.
Can the same thing be achieved by creating separate client related to coc.nvim and adding awk-language-server package as a dependency?

Do you mind a PR like https://github.com/wader/vscode-jq/pull/8/files ? It should be less invasive.

coc.nvim provide a similar APIs as VS Code, which can serve more (Neo)Vim users to enjoy VS Code extension. https://github.com/wader/vscode-jq is an example.
