Moves the language-server and editor docs out of bifrost-dev, now that the server and the VS Code extension live in this repository.

What moved. Six pages from bifrost-dev's docs site (bifrost.brokk.ai) are now under docs/:

bifrost-dev page Here
lsp.md docs/lsp.md
vscode.md docs/vscode.md
rql-vscode.md docs/rql-vscode.md
zed-lsp.md docs/zed.md
neovim.md docs/neovim.md
helix.md docs/helix.md

Two images moved with them into docs/assets/.

Zed scaffold. The unpublished Zed extension scaffold also moved, from bifrost-dev's editors/zed to editors/zed here. It only launches bifrost-lsp, so it belongs beside the VS Code extension. The scaffold launches the standalone bifrost-lsp command. Its README points to docs/zed.md, explains direct binary overrides, and its repository metadata points to this repository. The Zed page links to it, and cargo check in editors/zed passes.

Conversion.

  • Starlight front matter became headings.
  • Admonitions became GitHub alerts.
  • Links between moved pages are now relative. Links to the rest of the Bifrost docs point to https://bifrost.brokk.ai/<page>/.
  • The README gained a Documentation section that lists the six pages.

Status corrections. The bifrost-dev copies said bifrost-lsp had no release. These copies now describe:

  • the bifrost-lsp v0.1.1 release;
  • extension 0.12.0, which Open VSX lists as current as of 2026-10-08;
  • the managed, checksum-verified server download.

Companion PR. https://github.com/BrokkAi/bifrost-dev/pull/4752 removes the pages there. It redirects the old bifrost.brokk.ai URLs to these files and repoints every link. Merge this PR first, because that PR's links and redirects target main here.

Validation. All 34 relative links and anchors resolve; both images match the public source originals. Imported docs/assets and Zed files are listed as public in the canonical open-core inventory. Review corrections align VS Code launch modes and defaults with the released standalone server, document its public CLI options, and retain Zed's direct-override behavior. Exact updated-head CI is required before merge.

Copy the six editor and server guides from bifrost-dev into this public
repository, convert them to GitHub Markdown, and update server release
and extension installation details from the current source metadata.

Open VSX lists brokk/bifrost-vscode 0.12.0 (published 2026-10-08) as the
current version, so the moved VS Code, RQL and LSP pages no longer call
0.11.4 the published version or 0.12.0 unpublished. Drop the one-off link
check script used to validate the move; it is not a maintained repo check.

The unpublished Zed extension scaffold only launches the bifrost-lsp server
this repository builds, so it belongs here beside the VS Code extension.
The files are copied unchanged from bifrost-dev's editors/zed except its
README, which now points to docs/zed.md. The Zed page links to the
scaffold instead of naming the private source repository, and the README
documentation list mentions it. The list also uses colons instead of long
dashes. `cargo check` in editors/zed passes.
