We have found that cheap SG90/MG90 servos can die pretty quickly from the chamber heat, therefore we have developed the option to use a NEMA17 stepper motor instead.
The design uses a short belt as a rack and a GT2 pulley to create linear motion. Most of the components used in the BOM for this mod should be available as leftovers from ERCF and Voron kits.
Some small changes are required in the gcode macros to make a stepper work. The readme file documents what needs to be changed.
