Metalink (RFC 5854, RFC 6249) is a metadata file which supports listing of multiple partial and full file hashes along with PGP signatures. It supports listing any URI (i.e. Gnutella, FTP,
Gemini, HTTP, rsync, BitTorrent, eD2k, IPFS, magnet link etc.).

I agree. And, also, once eD2k, Gnutella, and Kad support is integrated (similarly to WebTorrent), the amount of peers, particularly of popular videos, will be significantly higher, which will balance the ease of publishing with the amount of peers that share content. This was already thought of for streaming, over a decade ago, and then it was suppressed, until PeerTube has been created. The importance and potential of PeerTube is important, especialy due to the integration of P2P.

Yes. Perhaps, "would" instead of "make". Metalink would provide the possible bridge, and the client would decide which bridge or bridge to make use of.
