Add an "Add games" action to manual collections - #1251

The collection view now leads with a primary Add games button, the dialog marks members as Added (no second add) with a separate remove control, and a Done button closes it.

Walkthrough
The collection game dialog now shows membership status, separate controls for adding and removing games, and the current member count. It restores focus after a membership update. Manual collection details use an “Add games” button, and tests cover membership and focus behavior.

Summary
Membership controls and focus client/src/components/CollectionGamesDialog.tsx, client/src/pages/collections.tsx, client/__tests__/CollectionGamesDialog.test.tsx
The dialog shows an “Added” status and a Remove button for members, and an Add button for non-members. It displays the member count and a Done button. After a membership update, it focuses the changed game’s control unless focus has moved. The manual collection button says “Add games.” Tests cover membership requests, member display, and focus behavior.
The collection picker behavior is consistent with its API and focus-management contracts, with no actionable merge-blocking risk identified.

Updates the manual collections UI to replace the 'Manage games' button with an 'Add games' button, and reworks the CollectionGamesDialog so existing members show a non-clickable 'Added' state with a separate remove (✕) button, plus a 'Done' footer button to close the dialog. Adds a new test file covering add, non-re-addable member, and removal behaviors.

🟡 Medium risk · The manual collection dialog changes membership controls and focus restoration; an interaction error could remove the wrong game.
Adds an "Add games" action to manual collections, replacing "Manage games" in the detail view and empty state, with an "Added" marker for members and a separate remove control in the dialog. Focus now returns to the affected row after a membership update. Three focus-handling issues were resolved: restore targeting a disabled button during pending mutation, restore being skipped once focus moved to the dialog container, and a focus-guard test that could pass before the restore effect ran. No open issues remain.
✅ 3 closed✅ Bug: Focus restore targets a disabled button while mutation is still pending
📄 client/src/components/CollectionGamesDialog.tsx:51-56📄 client/src/components/CollectionGamesDialog.tsx:66-70📄 client/src/components/CollectionGamesDialog.tsx:145📄 client/src/components/CollectionGamesDialog.tsx:157 onSuccess returns the invalidateQueries promise, so the mutation stays isPending until the collections refetch finishes. The refetched data reaches the parent first, so memberIds changes in a render where toggleMutation.isPending is still true. That means every row button, including the new Add/Remove control, renders with disabled. The effect at lines 51-56 then calls .focus() on a disabled <button>, which does nothing, and it clears focusGameId right away. When the mutation settles a moment later, nothing tries to focus again, so keyboard focus stays on <body>/the dialog. That is the exact bug this commit sets out to fix. To fix it, run the focus effect when the mutation leaves pending, e.g. depend on [memberIds, toggleMutation.isPending] and return early while pending. Another option is to use aria-disabled instead of disabled so the control can still take focus. Add a test that waits for the button to have focus after the mutation resolves.
✅ Bug: Focus guard skips restore once Radix moves focus to dialog container
📄 client/src/components/CollectionGamesDialog.tsx:77-80
When a game is added or removed, its button gets unmounted (Add is swapped for Added + ✕, and the reverse on removal), so the browser moves focus to document.body. Radix's trapped FocusScope runs a MutationObserver (handleMutations) that sees removed nodes with activeElement === body and calls focus(container), which puts focus on the DialogContent element (Radix focus-scope source). That observer callback is a microtask, so it runs before this passive effect. By the time the effect runs, active is the dialog container: not body and not inside listRef. The new guard then returns early and the row focus is never restored in a real browser, which undoes the previous commits' fix. Treat the dialog container like body (focus fell out of the list without the user choosing a new target), or record an explicit 'user moved' flag from a focusin listener instead of inferring it from activeElement.
✅ Quality: Focus-guard test can pass before the restore effect ever runs
📄 client/tests/CollectionGamesDialog.test.tsx:81-90📄 client/src/components/CollectionGamesDialog.tsx:73-87
In "leaves focus alone when the user moved to the search field", the Remove Beta button shows up as soon as rerender passes the new memberIds, so findByRole resolves right away. The mutation can still be pending at that point. While it is pending, the effect in CollectionGamesDialog (lines 73-89) exits early, and the focus-restore branch only runs after isPending turns false. The activeElement assertion can therefore run before that branch, so the test would still pass if the "user moved on" guard were deleted. Wait for the mutation to settle first, for example by waiting until the Remove button is enabled again, and only then assert that the search field still has focus.
The tests assert the Add and Remove requests, but not focus restoration or preservation of search focus. A regression in the new focus effect could pass the current tests. Extend these tests to update memberIds, assert focus on the replacement control after Add and Remove, and assert that focusing the search input during a pending request is preserved.
