TESTING TECHNIQUES ASSIGNMENT 1.

We set up two Synapse home servers using a bash script that runs the default setup from: https://hub.docker.com/r/matrixdotorg/synapse twice. The script also adds enable_registration:true and enable_registration_without_verification:true in the Synapse config file so that the dummy registrations are allowed. Rate limiting for registration, login and messaging is disabled by setting the burst nr and nr of requests per second to a high number (based on https://matrix-org.github.io/synapse/latest/usage/configuration/config_documentation.html#ratelimiting)

Requires a Linux environment with Docker, Bash and Python. Setup home servers by running:

chmod +x setup_homeservers.sh
./setup_homeservers.sh

Running setup_homeservers.sh again kills any previous containers and wipes the registration data, making for a clean self-contained testing environment.
