Development

Node.js version is pinned to 20.19.5 (defined in .nvmrc). Python 3.12 is used for Python CLI tests.

To set up the repository and run all checks locally (matching CI), use the following commands:

# Install dependencies
npm install # or npm ci

# Run TypeScript type checking
npm run typecheck
npm test

npm test runs both the JavaScript test runner (npm run test:js via node --test) and the Python CLI test suite (npm run test:py via node run_test_py.js -m unittest test_fix.py).

Test Suites

JavaScript / Node.js Suites (run via npm run test:js)

Runs the Node.js test runner across all JavaScript test suites:

npm run test:js
# or directly
node --test

Python CLI Suite

Runs the Python test suite (test_fix.py):

npm run test:py

or:

python3 -m unittest test_fix.py

or equivalently:

python test_fix.py

Contributing

1. Comment /attempt #NN on the bounty issue before starting work.
2. Fork the repository and open a PR that references the issue (Fixes #NN).
3. After the PR is reviewed and merged, comment your ARC Testnet EVM address on the issue. The bounty is paid in test USDC on ARC Testnet.

Running Tests

In CI, each test suite is executed exactly once without overlap via a single npm test step.

To run all test suites locally (matching CI):

npm test

To run the JavaScript test suite:

npm run test:js

To run the Python test suite:

npm run test:py
