PR raises the number of retries when detecting status of the Android TV and also adds a wait on the async version to not hammer the Android TV with the checks too much. The number seems high, but it's honestly only thing that worked for me. Using lower numbers still caused false positive TV off detection.
This is a follow up to the #330.
