Welcome to ACOI Object Counter!
This app helps you count and classify elements in your images.
All steps of the main features are guided by instructions. You can access these at any time by tapping the info button in the top-right corner.
- Count and classify elements in your images.
- Select the background by placing points to indicate where the background is.
- The app then analyzes the image to detect and classify elements.
Counting Modes:
- Automatic: Elements are classified automatically with no user input.
- Leader Selection: You manually select representatives of each category for improved accuracy.
- Create datasets from images.
- The app classifies elements based on your selected category representatives.
- Use datasets as references for later comparisons, e.g., comparing a game setup to a current game state.
- Compare images with existing datasets.
- See the difference in the number of elements between your photo and the dataset.
You can use multiple images when elements don't fit in one photo.
For best results:
- Ensure items are separated
- Use flat lighting with no sharp shadows
- Keep the background as uniform as possible
- Select the background that separates objects.
- Place points to indicate the background using the toolbar.
- Use positive points to include parts of the image as background.
- Use negative points to exclude parts.
- The app shows the selection immediately.
- If the result is good, proceed to the next step.
- After selection, elements are counted but not yet classified.
- In Automatic mode, classification happens in the next step.
- In Leader Selection mode, you will choose representatives for each category.
To add more images for counting:
