Add a file filter to the find command to rule out gedit's own backup files (by default '*~').

Added support for git repos. Maybe this should be on a separate pull request, but since we're already here... Feel free to ask me to do so. |

I had time to improve git support, and finally avoiding gedit's backup files became secondary... |

Add support for git repos on search paths. This required adding support for multiple search paths.
