• main climate/ CAMulator driver broken: Model_State fixer import/signature, 15-vs-17 diagnostics, old WindPP

  NCAR/miles-credit#518 · Filter by author negin513 opened on Oct 12, 2026

• gen2 CAMulator config: scaler.json normalizes PS with a scalar; checkpoint trained with per-gridpoint PS stats → PS topography erodes in rollout

  NCAR/miles-credit#517 · Filter by author negin513 opened on Oct 12, 2026

• GlobalEnergyFixerUpDown (gen1 postblock) reads TOA downwelling solar from y_pred; for CAMulator that channel does not exist, so the energy fixer is fed a diagnostic field instead of SOLIN and the rollout drifts (~ −0.47 K/step)
