Hey,
I've done some testing locally using some ad-hoc tests in the tests file. I wasn't sure how you wanted to structure that file so I kept them out for now, but I would be happy to put them in a gist (or even in the PR) if you want to run the tests locally.
I'm also open to any and all code style critiques to make my code match the library's more.
