Overview

ChimAARON adds selectors that can be used with the select command, or as an atom specification in any other ChimeraX command.

connected

The connected selector expands the current selection of atoms and/or bonds to all atoms with a bonding path to the current selection. This selector can be found under Select → Structure → Connected.

tm

Select all transition metals

Substituents

There are selectors for substituents in the AaronTools substituent library or your personal substituent library with legal names. For a name to be legal, it must start with a letter, and all other characters must be letters, numbers, or plus or minus signs. These selectors do not depend on the names, serial number, or residue of the atoms - only the elements and the connectivity pattern. Substituent selectors can be found under Select → Chemistry → Substituents.
