Summary

Applies the brand-aligned redesign (from design_handoff_services_research) to the two nav destinations under Services and Research, matching the already-merged homepage redesign (#10): light wave heroes, Red Hat Display 900 headlines with Poppins eyebrows, illustration tiles, tone-coded work badges, and one deep-navy #09053A spotlight band per page.

/research

  • Wave hero (same treatment as the homepage hero), no CTA
  • Focus areas: 3-col illustration tiles (privacy-enhancing-tech / secure / standard-crypto) with Privacy / Engineering / Delivery eyebrows
  • ZKProof spotlight: deep-navy band with wave-corner background, bright-cyan eyebrow, primary pill to zkproof.org; keeps the ZKProof logo the current page renders
  • Ecosystems: whisper-gray 2-col cards; DARPA: split two-column with benchmarking-stats illustration in a cyan-tint panel (stacks illustration-first below 960px); centered closing CTA
  • Exported metadata block unchanged

/services/[service] (per-route template kept)

  • generateStaticParams / generateMetadata / dynamicParams / notFound() all preserved — the three routes are not collapsed into one page
  • Wave hero with the service title as the <h1> and the tagline as lead
  • Sticky cross-service sub-nav pill row (current route active, cyan)
  • Two-column intro: slug-mapped eyebrow (Audits / Engineering / Assurance), meta.intro, "Discuss an engagement" pill; illustration in a cyan-tint 4:3 panel
  • Our work 3-col badge cards, tone-coded: Audit → cyan, Design/Protocol → navy, Implementation → neutral, Research → gold
  • Formal Verification empty state: dashed note card — "Our first formal-verification engagements are underway — write-ups coming soon."

Notes

  • Content unchanged — copy is read from research.md, services/*/index.md, and the work *.md files; only the two page.tsx templates, an added illustration: frontmatter key (with slug-map fallback in the page), and new image assets are touched.
  • One deliberate deviation from the handoff: work cards keep linking to the existing internal write-up routes (/services/<service>/<work>) with a "Read more →" affordance, instead of linking externally to report URLs — the repo has full detail pages for every work item and linking away would orphan them. Reports remain reachable from the detail pages.
  • Added 'Protocol' to the WorkType union — the protocol-design content already uses it in frontmatter.
  • Verified: npm run build (static export, 73 pages) + npm run lint clean; all four routes eyeballed at 1440px and 375px. Screenshots saved locally under design_handoff_services_research/screenshots/ (drag them here if wanted — CLI can't attach images).

…s & spotlight bands

Rebuild /research and /services/[service] templates to match the redesigned
homepage: light wave heroes, Red Hat Display headlines with Poppins eyebrows,
illustration tiles, tone-coded work badges, and one deep-navy spotlight band
per page. Adds an `illustration` frontmatter key to each service index.md
(with a slug-map fallback), a service sub-nav pill row, and the two new
illustration assets. Content is unchanged — all copy still comes from
research.md and the services markdown files.
