[bug] 26.2 Can't change item in action bar using middle mouse.

Describe the bug
When I press middle mouse button on a block I have in my inventory, it plays a sound (Item Plops) but the block is not changed. When I disable mouse-wheelie it works again.

Update: If the slot is empty it will put the targeted item in that slot (creative and survival).
Not working with replacing blocks in the bar though.

To Reproduce

1. Middle mouse click to change item in action bar, action bar needs to have items on each slot (be sure to have the item in your inventory)
2. Bug appears

The item should change

Same issue here. In creative mode, when hotbar is not full and hand is holding an item, pickblock a new block will jump to an empty slot. When all slots are full, the handheld block flashes with the target for a second, then Refill seems to take over and reverts back to the previous block.

Been having the same thing, it's super frustrating.

Digging in to it a bit more, it appears to be due to the "Refill when current item changes" option. -- disabling this makes block pick work correctly.
