Rewrote the food system (it should overall be more sensible)
Added an "insect" food type
Bat ponies can now eat food categorised as "insectoid" (spider eyes, butterflies, etc)
Continuing to eat or drink a food item will prolong/worsen the effects
Earth Ponies
Made the tree detection when kicking slightly smarter.
It will now detect trees with any combination of wood and leaves, though the wood type is what determines the trunk shape and height
Detection of modded trees should also be better, assuming they extend the regular types or use regular vanilla logs.
Added a type of azalea trees
They are similar to oak trees, but will produce more sour apples instead of rotten ones
Flight
Reworked the flight mechanics slightly and improved the wing flapping animation
Added sound effects when flying as either a pegasus or changeling
When flying the player's model will roll accordingly
The player's limbs will no longer move as if swimming when flying
The transition between actively flying (flapping) and gliding (fixed wing) modes is now more clear
Rewrote how player's hitboxes are calculated to hopefully reduce conflicts with other mods
Added a separate stat for magical exhaustion
HUD
Added a field of view effect and sounds specific to magical exhaustion
Now when over-exerting yourself, the player's view will start to turn read and they will hear a heartbeating sound
The HUD will also begin to shake to draw the player's attention
Removed the HUD fading effect
Adjusted the volume on the gemfinding enchantment
Added more advancements (can you find them all?)
Alicorn Amulet
Players wearing the alicorn amulet will now affect the world around them. Hostile mobs will appear stronger, whilst friendly mobs will take damage
Added Butterflies
They're a peaceful mob that appears mainly in jungles and forests
Butterflies are attracted to flowers and will breed when near them
Drops one edible item: Butterfly.
Crafting & Trades
Crystal shards can now be crafted from diamonds.
1 diamond = 3 shards
Villagers will occasionally trade emeralds for gems
That technically means it's now possible to convert diamonds into emeralds. I know how everyone has been just begging for that, well here it is!
Made wandering traders more useful:
You can trade with them for various Unicopia-specific food items and pre-enchanted gemstones. They can also sell you any of their regular items pre-packaged into a handy jar for easier travels!
They say you can even get an Alicorn Amulet, for the right price
Magic
Made crystal shards slightly more common
Added a transformation spell
It does pretty much what you expect. Fire it at entities and watch them transform into something else!
Jars
Jars will now use the appropriate attack damage and enchantments of the item inside them when hitting an entity
Bugs Squashed
Fixed ear ringing sound playing multiple times
Fixed crash when a player tries to disguise themselves as a chest
Fixed issues occurring when players try to disguise themselves as other players
Fixed crash when disguised as an Axolotl
Fixed various visual glitches with the HUD
Fixed other players appearing "stuck" in flight mode when playing on a remote server
Fixed player model not rotating correctly when combining a player disguise with Mine Little Pony
Fixed drinking cider not causing any effects
Fixed earth pony kick ability not detecting trees when playing on a remote server
Fixed flying sounds playing whilst disguised
Fixed crystal shards not dropping from deepslate_diamond_ore
Fixed missing status effect icons (namely for food poisoning)
Things to do in future releases
Re-add Boop o' Roops?
Re-add clouds and cloud blocks, maybe replacing the vanilla clouds?
Expand on the food options available for earth ponies
Re-add spellbooks fo unicorns can craft their own spells
