EC25Toolbox provides a simple interface to manage Quectel EC25 and DJI Cellular Dongle devices. This application sits in your menu bar and helps you handle SMS messages, SIM card security settings, and network configurations.

Before you install the software, confirm your computer meets these requirements:
- A Windows 10 or Windows 11 personal computer.
- A connected Quectel EC25 or DJI Cellular Dongle.
- An available USB 2.0 or 3.0 port.
- A valid SIM card inserted into the device.
- Navigate to the download link provided above.
- Look for the file ending in
.exeunder the "Assets" section of the latest release. - Click the file to start the download.
- Save the file to your desktop or downloads folder.
- Double-click the file to begin the installation process.
- Follow the prompts on your screen to complete the setup.
- Launch the application from your desktop or start menu.
Once the application starts, it runs in the background. Look for the icon in your system tray. Click the icon to open the main menu.
The tool allows you to send and receive text messages directly through your modem.
- To read messages, select "Inbox" from the menu.
- To write a message, select "New SMS," enter the phone number, type your text, and click "Send."
You can manage the security features of your SIM card to prevent unauthorized use.
- Use the PIN management window to enable or disable the SIM PIN.
- If you forget your PIN, the interface provides a way to enter your PUK code to unlock the card.
The application detects your cellular network automatically. It displays your current signal strength and the name of your service provider.
- If you need to refresh your connection, click the "Reconnect" button.
- Experimental features like VoWiFi allow for voice calls over a wireless network. Toggle these features in the "Advanced" tab if your service provider supports them.
If the application fails to connect to your modem, follow these steps:
- Unplug the USB modem.
- Wait ten seconds.
- Plug the modem back into a different USB port.
- Restart the application.
- Check that your SIM card is seated correctly in its slot.
If issues persist, ensure the device drivers for your modem are installed properly. Windows usually installs these automatically, but you can check in the Device Manager. Look under "Ports (COM & LPT)" to see if the Quectel device appears.
The toolbox supports eSTK and eUICC functions for advanced users who need to manage multiple network profiles. Use the "eSIM Manager" tab to switch between profiles or to download new credentials provided by your carrier. Keep in mind that these settings change how your device interacts with the local cell tower.
- Keep the application open if you need to receive SMS alerts in real-time.
- If the menu bar icon disappears, relaunch the application from your start menu.
- Check the "Update" section within the app settings to ensure you run the most current version.
This tool aims to simplify the technical steps required to manage hardware modems. By removing the need to use direct modem commands, the toolbox saves time and reduces the risk of input errors. Use it to keep your connection stable and your data safe.
