Updating

Wesley Pyburn (TechNobo) edited this page Apr 3, 2019 · 2 revisions

There are a few ways to do this

The simplest, and most reliable:

Go to the Official TcNo Transcoder GitHub and download the latest version from the releases tab: https://github.com/TcNobo/TcNo-Transcoder/releases Download the version that best suits your computer, and extract it to your current TcNo-Transcoder directory (DO NOT replace your existing settings.cfg, unless you want to redo your settings -- Which can also be done by deleting the file and running TcNo-Transcoder.exe)

To update JUST NVEncC:

  1. Head to rigaya's NVEnc repo (https://github.com/rigaya/NVEnc)
  2. Click releases at the top, right above the pink bar, and the Clone or download button.
  3. Download the latest release's .7z archive.
    • Download both ..._Win32.7z and ..._x64.7z, unless you want to only download one. Downloading both will let you pick later on if you experience issues. If you know you're on Windows x32 or x64, you can download whichever suits your Windows installation.
  4. Extract ..._Win32.7z into TcNo Transcoder's x32 folder.
  5. Extract ..._x64.7z into TcNo Transcoder's x64 folder.

NOTE: You may need to update your Nvidia Graphics Drivers, to match the requirements listed on the NVEncC download page.
