Summary

  • Adds a per-province infrastructure value that spreads inside a realm, and through unowned land at a 0.25 penalty. Stations, ports, airports, and a realm guild's Infrastructure modifier are sources. Track is not, yet.
  • Effective terrain closes the gap from raw land toward 0.75 and is what trade, production, trade factor, and hub production spread read. Army movement stays on raw terrain.
  • Foreign access follows the economy-law table. With no sources, effective terrain equals raw terrain, so income does not change.

Test plan

  • mvn -o verify passed, including the new infrastructure tests
  • On dev, with no sources, guild income matches the previous build to the cent
  • A station on poor land raises that province toward 0.75 for the owning realm and does not enter another realm
  • A law preview changes foreign access without rewriting the saved law

Made with Cursor

Guilds on poor land can close part of the gap to plains when infrastructure is present, and income is unchanged while every source is zero.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features
    • Added infrastructure that spreads from faction capitals, train stations, ports and airports across eligible provinces.
    • Infrastructure can improve trade and production, up to a configurable terrain target. Access varies according to ownership relationships and economic laws.
    • Added configuration options for infrastructure contributions, spread and coverage.

Walkthrough

This change adds configurable infrastructure values and law-based access. Province recalculation collects and spreads infrastructure from guild capitals and installations. Province trade and production calculations use guild-specific effective terrain.

Configuration and law-based access
src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/Cache.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/enums/*, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/laws/LawEffect.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/loaders/ConfigLoader.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/map/infra/InfrastructureAccess.java, src/main/resources/config.yml, src/main/resources/laws.yml, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/loaders/ConfigLoaderInfrastructureTest.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/map/infra/InfrastructureAccessTest.java
Configuration adds seven infrastructure values. Economy laws define infrastructure access modifiers. InfrastructureAccess resolves law effects and combines owner grants with guild reach, including preview laws and shared top realms.
Source collection and province spread
src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/managers/ProvinceManager.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/map/infra/InfrastructureSources.java, src/main/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/map/infra/InfrastructureSpread.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/map/infra/InfrastructureSourcesTest.java, src/test/java/net/tfminecraft/simplefactions/map/infra/InfrastructureSpreadTest.java
Province recalculation gathers positive amounts from eligible guild capitals and configured installations. It propagates the strongest qualifying arrivals through land neighbours, with terrain, wilderness, ownership, and floor constraints, then stores the resulting values.
Guild-specific terrain and economic calculations

Province uses infrastructure and guild access to calculate effective terrain. Trade and production calculations use guild-specific trade carry; the existing no-argument carry remains terrain-based.

Security Architecture Review

Security architecture risk: 🔵 Low · up to eeb3e

Realm checks and isolated law previews limit normal exposure, and no unauthorized-access path was established. Invalid numeric configuration can nevertheless prevent infrastructure recalculation from completing, affecting the shared province economy.

Retained concerns

  • Medium · reliability · inferred: The new shared propagation phase does not enforce finite numeric inputs or bound queue work. A NaN installation contribution can pass source filtering; on an eligible cycle, NaN arrivals pass both cutoff and improvement checks indefinitely. This can block the calling recalculation and its remaining economic phases. Exposure requires invalid configuration; ordinary-player control was not established.
Security review details

Security Blast Radius

  • inferred — A stalled propagation phase affects the entire province recalculation invoked on that manager, not just one guild: both full and single-guild entrypoints collect shared sources and compute the province-wide graph before continuing.

Security Findings and Attack Paths

  • inferred — The supported failure path is invalid configuration to a non-finite installation contribution, then source collection and repeated propagation around an eligible cycle. This establishes a conditional availability concern, not a verified ordinary-player exploit or privilege escalation.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — Foreign access uses scoped economy-law contributions rather than a diplomacy check. Bundled law values and explicit design-example tests support that additive policy; the inspected evidence does not establish an absolute owner-deny or diplomacy-gating contract that this PR bypasses.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — Economic previews recalculate copied province state, clear their context in finally, and avoid live hub refresh through manager-identity and thread checks. Law-preview tests also verify that the persisted current law remains unchanged.

Hardening Proposals

  • proposed — Enforce finite, documented numeric domains at configuration and source boundaries, and add a propagation work limit or explicit failure outcome so invalid tuning cannot indefinitely block shared economic recalculation.
  • Autopilot · Keep fixing CodeRabbit findings and required CI, and resolving merge conflicts
