Hello Gatus Team,
I am reaching out to ask for your help about creating a custom Telegram alert mode to be used with endpoints in my self-hosted environment.
I have successfully configured the Telegram alerts, however the preset alert text is unnecessarily long for me and I would like to set up some more compact alerting with Telegram.
This way, I have researched that I need to use custom alerts for this.
Unfortunately Gatus crashes without any error references or troubleshooting options every time I make a syntax issue, so it is very hard to guess the correct alert setup.
Also the documentation on this seems to be very limited. (Please point me to the self-hosted examples and exact syntax description if there is one.)
So I would like to get some help with this.
Could you please provide an example custom Telegram alert setup template with custom conditional alert texts, placeholders, etc., I could use?
Also on the long run, could you please introduce some error checking and reporting into Gatus so at least the issue would be visible on the Web UI for better troubleshooting and eliminating the guesswork?
I appreciate your help in advance!
Thank you,
HP
