Hi! I'm Yihao Shi (史亦皓). I received my Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from Zhejiang University, supervised by Prof. Ning Guo. I was also fortunate to spend one year as a visiting researcher in Computer Graphics at Carnegie Mellon University, where I was supervised by Prof. Minchen Li. Prior to that, I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Sun Yat-sen University in 2021, under the supervision of Prof. Zheng Hu and Prof. Beibing Dai.
My research focuses on developing efficient, robust, and scalable numerical methods for physical simulation. I am particularly interested in deformable body (soil/cloth/soft particle) simulation, collision and contact handling, GPU-accelerated computing, and coupled continuum-discrete methods (FEM/IGA/MPM/DEM) for geotechnical engineering.
I am the core developers of GeoTaichi, an open-source framework for high-performance multiphysics simulation.
