This release of Playboy is - according to my measurements on the simulator - about 30% faster than v0.4.

That number will probably vary on physical Playdate devices - possibly not as good, possibly much better, let's see 😄

Playboy v0.4

Playboy v0.4 includes a ROM picker! You can now place multiple games on your Playdate and choose between them, as well as swap games without quitting the emulator.

It also includes further optimisations for better emulation speed on real Playdate hardware 🚀

Yo!

Playboy v0.3 is twice as fast as 0.2! Well, in theory 😄

It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out on real hardware! My guess is not yet fast enough, but faster

Hey there!

Now that people have real, physical Playdates in their hands, we've had a chance to run the emulator on some real devices.

This version of Playboy includes optimisations to try and get the emulation running faster on real Playdate hardware 🚀

Of course, it still runs great in the Simulator if you just want to play it there 🙂

Hello!

This is the first proper release of Playboy, my Nintendo Gameboy emulator for Panic Playdate 🎉

To play, just download the .pdx and double click it to fire up Playdate Simulator!
