The frameworks provided here are not isolated tools; they form a cohesive system for building and executing a robust digital strategy, as detailed in the book. They are designed to be used together in a logical progression:
- Start with the Big Picture: The Digital Strategy Big Picture Template is your master canvas. It provides the structure to document your entire strategic vision.
- Diagnose Your Current State: Use the Digital Maturity & Organizational Readiness assessment to understand where your organization stands today. This diagnostic tool helps you populate the "Digital Capabilities" section of your Big Picture with an honest assessment of your strengths and weaknesses.
- Define Your Impact: The Impact Venn is a conceptual tool to facilitate discussions about how your strategy, culture, and capabilities will combine to create tangible business value. It helps you clarify the "Impact" section of your Big Picture.
- Deep Dive into Key Areas: Once your high-level strategy is mapped out, use the Collaboration Framework and the Data Strategy model as specialized templates to detail the execution plans for these critical components of modern digital transformation.
By using these frameworks in concert, you can move from high-level vision to detailed, actionable planning.
