   In printer sharing environments, invalid printer status will likely occur due to factors like: poorly designed drivers, corruption of spooler temp files etc. Restarting the printer spooler could resolve the issue quickly, but if the issue persists, the system should be restarted. [This batch script](#file-restartprinter-bat) can be placed on the desktop so that non tech-savvy employees can run it to restart the printer spooler.
