Optional capability to import data from pre-collected data sources, for example a time-series data base containing PDU and/or bare metal energy consumptions.
Why is this feature desired?
In realistic data center scenarios, it is likely that there is a data base or software solution in place to manage of a wide range of sensor data. In those scenarios it would be preferable to use data from the pre-collected data source, rather than repeat the scraping that Chantico does on PDU and/or bare metal level.
It may interesting to consider https://opentelemetry.io/ in this context, as a standard for such data sources.
