Public, user-facing documentation for CocoIndex Code Plus — a self-hosted
code search & navigation service (semantic search, AST structural grep, symbol
definitions/references; indexer + query server) with a ccx CLI and an MCP
endpoint.
- docs/deploy.md — deploy the backend (indexer + query
server) on Kubernetes with the
cocoindex-code-plusHelm chart (public; released versions listed there). For platform / IT teams. - docs/upgrade.md — upgrade a running deployment between releases: the normal one-command upgrade, and an entry for every release that needs anything more. For platform / IT teams.
- docs/sso.md — SSO sign-in (OIDC) provider setup: which role your provider can play (authorization server vs login-only), and the per-provider recipes — Entra ID, Okta, Keycloak (direct or fronting Google Workspace, Okta without its API Access Management add-on, or SAML-only IdPs) — each ending in the Helm values it produces. For IdP admins and the platform engineer pairing with them.
- docs/cli.md — install and use the
ccxCLI (and the MCP integration) to query an indexed codebase. For engineers and coding agents. - docs/security.md — security & deployment guide: architecture and trust model, the complete egress list and air-gap recipe, hardening checklist, audit-log formats, supply-chain verification, AI/ML data handling. For security teams.
- skills/ccx-codebase-explorer/SKILL.md — a Claude Code / Agent skill that
teaches an agent to drive the
ccxCLI (semantic search, ASTgrep, symboldefs/refsnavigation, file access, and citedaskanswers), with a full grep pattern-syntax reference.
Install it user-level with the skills CLI — it detects the agents you have (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, …) and links the skill into each:
npx skills add cocoindex-io/cocoindex-code-plus-pub -gUpdate later with npx skills update ccx-codebase-explorer -g. Without the CLI,
copy the self-contained skills/ccx-codebase-explorer/ folder to
~/.claude/skills/ccx-codebase-explorer (Claude Code) or your agent's skills
directory.
Installed before 2026-09-05? The skill was named ccx then, and the CLI
treats it as a separate entry, so remove it first — this also cleans the links
it made in every agent's skills directory:
npx skills remove ccx -g(Copied by hand instead: delete the ccx folder from each agent's skills
directory.) If the agent keeps grepping instead of using
it, docs/cli.md → For agents & automation
lists the levers, from the MCP endpoint to a one-line repo rule and a hook.
